Alder Sorren Finch

[ Military Might : Sky ] : Bearing the responsibility of directing highly advanced flying machines through the air, the Squadron Leader's job is not an easy one. As such, Squadron Leaders receive an office at their nation's Hangar, or Barracks, if no Hangar is available. Squad Leaders are a limited starting class, so few may start as Squad Leaders (One or two per nation, realistically) but Soldiers may become Squad Leaders. Bonus 2,000 starting Swag.

Shitty history condensed into even shittier history.



Sometimes a history begins with something cool, like an explosion or a death or something. This wasn't really the case with Alder. He grew up in a nice little home with loving parents and all that shiz. He grew up on bread and cheese and all that is middle-class food. Not that he was complaining, as he was at least financially well-off enough to afford decent food.

Alder was about 8 years old when he first started showing signs of homosexual tendencies. His mother, a rather close-minded woman, did everything in her power to prevent this, and did a relatively well job of it. It was also during this time that Alder's mind strayed away from friends and more towards flight. His father taught him the ways of the sky and dubbed his son the Sky Adder, a cute play on his name.

Life was nice, things were cool. Alder entered the pilot's academy and grew in rank over the years. It was in his 18th year of life that his future took a turn for the better, while his life took a turn for the worse. His father became deathly ill with god-even-knows-what. How Alder didn't catch it from him, he'll never know. He didn't care, though, at the time, if he did or not. He just wanted his father to be okay. Unfortunately, the man passed just shy of Alder's 19th birthday. What a present.

The death took a hard toll on Alder, as he ended up hiding himself within the confines of his home, and rarely spoke to others. It was also during this time that he tried to get away from everything with alcohol and wild nights in strangers' beds. Of course, from this comes the inevitable. Alder was 22 when Lilly, a pretty blonde middle-class lady, became pregnant with his child. Neither of them were very much prepared to take on a child, and even less prepared for the birth. Well. Lilly was less prepared. The poor woman died in childbirth, causing yet another wave of depression to wash over Alder. In the 8ish months of her term, the two had grown quite close. Too bad tho. Cause she ded.

Alder took custody of the child, refusing to let the little tyke go into an orphanage. He named the small child Andreas, a name that Lilly had mentioned during her pregnancy. Although saddened by her death, the baby gave Alder a new hope. He, of course, gets a bit depressed on occasion when thinking of Lilly, but tries to keep himself in check, for Andy's sake.

It was only a few months after Andreas's birth that Alder met a Bydale man by the name of Rufio - an outlaw practiced in the way of the sword. Alder wasn't quite prepared for new friendships. He was a sad, depressed ball of angst that could hardly deal with himself - let alone another person. Regardless, Rufio stuck with Alder and the two became friends. He helped out with Andreas and tried to keep Alder happy through the rough times. It was during said times that the two became a little bit more than friends and finally made the leap to dating. 

Although a bit young and burdened with a baby and squad leader affairs, Alder lives a happy life with his child and boyfriend. The days of sadness and moping are not to be forgotten, but are currently on the back burner. Not to say that sometimes the stove doesn't catch on fire and end in drunk parties on the living room floor, but for now... He's happy.

This is where you list the armor your character wears. Armor is actually a pretty vaguely defined word, and really just means anything that is used to defend your character, or otherwise protect them.

Weapons are useful for attacking people, and generally anything involved with aggressive combat, rather than the passive combat uses of Armor. Be reasonable, guys.

This is just a nice catch-all to list any relatively mundane, or at least, non-combat-useful, items. These have no effect on stats or anything else, really, but can basically be whatever you want them to be. You want to lug around a ninety pound anchor, I can't very well stop you. List format, please. You are limited only by your imagination and the laws of physics.

Spells are the method through which magic is used. However, be cautious; public displays of magic are illegal, internationally, outside of explicitly stated areas. Therefore, anyone caught using magic that is noticeable or obvious WILL trigger a Random Event that causes the local police to pursue them. However, any spells that could be used without detection are perfectly fine for the less daring or foolish.

Enchantments are basically like spells, except for the fact that they are passive, by nature. Thus, if you have any spells that are never turned off, and don't need to be activated, then by all means, it should probably be an Enchantment. Different from equipment enchantments, of important note.

We say "Pets," but this is mostly a catch-all term for more things than that.This is where you can list your familiars/actual pets, mounts, magical summons, and for some odd reason, vehicles. You only get one of each slot, however, unless you buy additional Pet Slots. Additionally, you can purchase additional equipment for your pets; familiars may wear hats, mounts may wear chestpieces, vehicles can be enchanted, and summons can have a weapon.
